‘Shahenshah’ director Tinu Anand recently revealed that Amitabh Bachchan’s outfit in the film was inspired by a French advertisement. He said that Tinu said that his first design was taken by a designer and given to Jeetendra, as the work on the film was stopped and then he got a different designer to make a new suit for Amitabh, which he liked very much. During an interview to Radio Nasha, Tinu said, ‘I have personally designed the costumes. With the help of Amitabh’s designer, we came up with a black leather outfit. Black pants, black shoes. I also tied a rope around his shoulders, though the idea was later dropped. Then, what Akbar (Amitabh’s designer) did, he cheated me. He gave that suit to Jitendra. Photo courtesy-@Imdb
