Along with this, an outsider actress also entered Bollywood this year. The name of this actress is Ameesha Patel. Ameesha and Hrithik debuted with ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ and both became big stars from the first film. Kareena Kapoor was very sad when the film became a blockbuster as she was playing the lead role in the film before Ameesha. He left the film midway.
In an interview to Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha Patel talked about Kareena quitting the film and the offers she received. Ameesha has said that Kareena Kapoor has not left the film. In fact, director Rakesh Roshan asked Kareena Kapoor to leave the film as the two had differences.
Ameesha Patel said, “What Rakeshji told me is that he asked Kareena to leave the film because they had differences. And Pinky Aunty (Rakesh Roshan’s wife) was also surprised because the set was ready, and Kareena’s replacement had to be found in 3 days, and crores of rupees were spent on that set. It was Hrithik’s first film and everyone was nervous about it.”
Ameesha Patel said, “Pinky aunty told me that the day Rakesh saw me at the wedding, he could not sleep the whole night. It was like ‘I’ve got my Sonia, I’ve got my Sonia, I hope’ she’ll say yes. He said he had no idea what happened to the film when he got the offer.
At the same time, Kareena Kapoor in an old interview with Filmfare magazine said that she was happy that she dropped out of ‘Kaho Na Pyar Se’. He said that Ameesha did not look beautiful in the film and also had pimples and bags under her eyes in some parts. Kareena said that there is no problem between her and Hrithik even after leaving the film.
