Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma’s film ‘Gadar 2’ has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark at the domestic box office. The makers of the film gave this information on Saturday (August 19). Directed by Anil Sharma, the film is a sequel to Sunny Deol’s 2001 hit Ghadar Ek Prem Katha. Sunny Deol has played the memorable character of Tara Singh in the film. The film was released in theaters on August 11.

The makers of the film claimed in a press release that Ghadar-2 has reached the highest ever for any Hindi film, especially in regions like Punjab. He wrote, ‘The film collected Rs 20.50 crore on its eighth day of release, taking the total to Rs 303.13 crore.’ Produced by Zee Studios, the film stars Ameesha Patel as Sakina again and Utkarsh Sharma as Charanjit Singh.
