Asia Cup 2023 Commentary Panel Announced, Gambhir-Akram Inducted In List Of Legends, Ramsey’s Cut Leaf

Asia Cup 2023 Commentators List: Asia Cup 2023 is going to start from August 30. The Asia Cup to be hosted by Pakistan will be organized under a hybrid model. 4 matches will be played in Pakistan while 9 matches will be played in Sri Lanka. Official broadcaster Star Sports has announced the commentary panel for the upcoming tournament. The panel includes veteran players including former India opener Gautam Gambhir and former Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram. At the same time, the name of former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief and renowned commentator Ramiz Raja is not in the list.

Star Sports released the list of Hindi and English commentators on social media platform X (Twitter) on Saturday. Gambhir will be seen doing commentary in Hindi and English. In Hindi, former veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh, former all-rounder Irfan Pathan, former batsman Mohammad Kaif, former batting coach Sanjay Bangar, Aditya Tare, Rajat Bhatia, R Bhanot, Jatin Sapru and P Sehrawat will grace the game.

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri also features in the list of English commentators. Apart from Wasim Akram, former Pakistani cricketers Waqar Younis and Aamir Sohail are part of the panel. Former England coach dash Andy Flower who was a player would also spread the magic of words. Sri Lankan Marwan Atapattu, former Australian batsman Matthew Hayden, Deep Dasgupta, Sanjay Manjrekar, S Chaudhary, B Khan, R Abeysinghe will provide commentary in English.

It is worth mentioning that the Indian team will start their campaign in the Asia Cup on September 2. India’s first match will be against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Kandy ground. A total of 6 teams will take part in the Asia Cup. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal will show their stamina. Nepal team will play in Asia Cup for the first time.
