Russia’s moon mission fails, LUNA-25 crashes on moon, collides with Chandrayaan-3

Moscow: Russia’s ambitious lunar mission Luna-25 (Luna-25 Moon Mission) has failed. Russia’s space agency Roscosmos said on Sunday that the Luna-25 spacecraft collided with the moon after entering an uncontrolled orbit instead of the intended one. Let us tell you that Luna-25 collided with India’s Chandrayaan-3. He was also supposed to land on the South Pole of the Moon, but the mission failed. This was Russia’s first moon mission in 47 years.

The development comes a day after Roscosmos reported that Luna-25 had encountered an emergency while transferring it into orbit before landing on the moon. According to Roscosmos, Luna-25 was scheduled to land on the moon’s south pole on August 21. The Russian space agency had earlier said the mission encountered an ‘abnormal situation’ when Luna-25 deviated from the intended orbit and was out of Roscosmos’ control.
