Noida: Vehicle invoices with words denoting caste and religion, action taken on CM Yogi's notice

On Sunday, the Gautam Budh district traffic police conducted a special campaign to write words depicting caste and religion and deduct the challans of more than a thousand vehicles for putting black film on the leads. Police gave this information. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar Yadav said that writing words denoting religion and caste on vehicles is a violation of traffic rules and action was taken in the district today as per instructions issued by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in this regard.

He said that a special drive was conducted today to issue challans to vehicles which had words denoting caste, religion, had images of angry Hanumanji on their leads and had black film on their leads.

He said that the campaign was conducted at 10 locations in Noida and Greater Noida including Pari Chowk, Maharshi Ashram, Kisan Chowk, Sector-18, Sector-15 Golchakkar, Sector-62 and Rajnigandha Intersection.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Yadav said that during this period, a challan of Rs 2500 was deducted for vehicles with black film on the lead, while a challan of Rs 1000 was deducted for vehicles with words indicating religion and caste.
