Actually, Rajinikanth reached Lucknow during the promotion of his film ‘Jailor’. On reaching Lucknow, he met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Not only that, he also touched the feet of the Chief Minister. When Rajinikanth’s pictures surfaced and people saw him touching CM Yogi Adityanath’s feet, he started getting trolled on social media. Along with this, Rajinikanth has given a reason to touch CM Yogi Adityanath’s feet while giving a statement.
Why was Rajinikanth trolled?
Seeing the age gap between Rajinikanth and CM Yogi Adityanath, users did not mind touching Rajinikanth’s feet. Posting pictures of Rajinikanth and CM Yogi Adityanath on social media, he asked – CM Yogi is much younger than him, so Rajinikanth should not touch his feet.
Rajinikanth explained the reason
When Rajinikanth was spotted at the Chennai airport, he was thronged by reporters. Journalists asked him the reason for touching the Chief Minister’s feet. In response to which Rajinikanth said that this is a habit of his. The actor said- “Yes, he is younger than me. But, this is my habit. When a sadhu or a yogi comes in front of me, I touch their feet.”
