MBBS: FMGE Result Declared To Get Medical License In India, Most Students Fail

FMGE Result 2023: The National Board of Examination (NBE) has declared the FMGE i.e. Foreign Medical Graduate Examination June Session Result. Candidates can check the exam result at natboard.edu.in. The June session FMGE exam was scheduled on 30 July 2023. A total of 24,250 candidates appeared in the FMGE examination out of which 21,180 candidates failed. 495 students were absent in the examination. Results of 116 candidates have been withheld. Students will be able to download FMGE June 2023 Scorecard from 31st August.

Dates when candidates who qualify FMGE June 2023 will get certificates will be announced by NBEMS later. “The results of candidates who are undergoing face ID verification, court cases and candidates who are awaiting security clearance have been withheld,” NBEMS said.

Let us tell you that if you want to do medicine in India after studying medicine from abroad, you have to clear the FMGE exam. This exam is very difficult to pass. The result of this exam which is considered very challenging is only 20 to 25 percent.

How was the result in the last exam?
December session FMGE exam was held on 20 January 2023. In which more than 20 thousand students failed while more than 9000 passed. The result was only around 31 percent.

FMGE Exam will be over
Government of India plans to introduce NEXT (National Exit Test – NExT) exam by abolishing FMGE exam and NEET PG entrance exam. The next exam may be held in 2025. After the introduction of NEXT, MBBS students in India will not be required to take the final year exam. They have to appear in the next examination. Based on the merit of this test, the merit for admission to PG will also be made. That means there will be no need for NEET PG. NEET PG will be abolished. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has started preparations to conduct the National Exit Test (NEXT) for MBBS students. In this way, a total of three exams will be included in the future.
