How much success has India achieved in its own name? Thus understand the significance of Chandrayaan-3 reaching the moon

After the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon, this great achievement of India was picked up by the world media. All major newspapers in America, Britain and Europe had live coverage of the landing of Chandrayaan-3. Let us know how important this success is for India in five points:-

1. India is the first country to go to the dark side of the moon
So far no spacecraft from any country has been able to land on this dark side (South Pole) of the Moon. Russia certainly tried. But on August 21, Russia’s Luna-25 crashed during the last orbital change. At the same time, India is the fourth country in the world to make a soft landing on any lunar surface. America, Russia (USSR) and China have done this before India.

2. The world saw Isro’s passion
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is under-appreciated. ISRO has proved that India has the guts and passion to do whatever it sets its mind to. India, which was once called only a country of farmers, today has landed on the surface of the moon, where no other country has been able to go till date.

3. Admission to Elite Space Club
The American newspaper ‘New York Times’ published an objectionable cartoon about India’s Mangalyaan mission. It shows a farmer with a cow knocking on the door of an elite space club. Earlier, America has refused to give space technology to India. But look at the need of time… For Chandrayaan-3, American space agency NASA has helped our space agency ISRO. NASA has the Deep Space Network (DSN). It has a huge array of radio antennas in different corners of the world. Through this, NASA is providing tracking coverage to ISRO. At the same time, ESA helps track satellites in their orbits in space and maintain their contact with the ground.

4. Space power is built from budget-friendly missions
Any space mission is very expensive. ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission has cost around Rs 615 crore. This cost is less than the recently released Hollywood film Barbie and Oppenheimer. ISRO designed low-cost missions and established itself as a space power. This landing shows Isro’s indigenous knowledge as a space power.

5. The world saw the power of Make in India
In 1992, America refused to give space technology to India. Today ‘Make in India’ shows our strength. ISRO has also emerged as a good revenue generator through its work. According to a BBC report, ISRO has launched 345 satellites from 34 countries including the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Germany, Israel and Kazakhstan. According to the report, it grossed around $56 million.
