New Delhi: Union Minister Jitendra Singh said at the NDTV G20 Conclave today that India will send a female robot “Vyomitra” to the Gaganyaan mission.

“The Gaganyaan project was delayed due to the pandemic. Now we are planning the first test mission in the first or second week of October. Bringing back astronauts is as important as sending them,” the Union minister said.

Jitendra Singh said, “The second mission will have a female robot and it will mimic all human activities. If everything goes well, we can go ahead.” He also expressed how relieved he felt when the Chandrayaan-3 lander finally approached the moon’s south pole.
