Apart from this, Shilpa will say that she listens to Gurdas Maan’s songs a lot while working out. She says, ‘I married into a Punjabi family and became half Punjabi myself. I have been an admirer of Gurdasji before, but my husband explained to me the depth of meaning of your songs. He is your big fan. We listen to your songs even in the gym, and listening to them fills us with energy.
Shilpa continues, ‘There’s something special about your songs, but my favorite song is ‘Ki Banu Duniya Da’ and it brought tears to my eyes one day. Your fan base is so huge that even non-Punjabis cry. I always knew your songs were great, but then I found out you write your own songs, which is pretty awesome. Every song has a message. I find that aspect really amazing.
