‘Gadar 2’ – These 3 big films lose to ‘Jailor’, North to South, Sunny-Rajinikanth fire continues

Mumbai. Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ is holding sway at the box office. Released on August 11, the film has broken the records of many big films like ‘KGF’, ‘Baahubali’, ‘Dangal’ and ‘Pathan’. Even after this, his earnings continue. The film has entered its third week and the collection continues unabated. At the same time, Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailor’ is also making waves at the box office. This film is earning record breaking not only in India but also abroad. Rajinikanth’s film released on August 10 and is also playing in theatres.

Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’, which released last week, didn’t let Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher starrer ‘Ghoomar’ get off to a good start. Maabh managed to collect 85 lakh rupees on the opening day of the film. On the other hand, Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailor’ did not allow Chiranjeevi’s much awaited film ‘Bhola Shankar’ to survive even 5 days at the box office. However, Bhola Shankar did a business of 16 crores on the opening day.

Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar collected only Rs 30 crore in two weeks. On this Friday i.e. August 25, 2 big films were released at the box office. First Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Pandey starrer ‘Dream Girl 2’, second Nusrat Bharucha starrer ‘Akeeli’. A day before this i.e. on August 24, Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘King of Kotha’ was released. Among them, Ayushmann’s ‘Dream Girl 2’ is receiving good response, but the other two films have flopped badly.

Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ has earned Rs 438.7 crore in 16 days. At the same time, Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailor’ has collected Rs 537.25 crore worldwide in 17 days. Talking about the box office collection of Dream Girl 2, the film collected 10.69 crores on the opening day and 14 crores on Saturday. The film has collected Rs 24.69 crore in two days.

Nusrat Bharucha’s Akali on opening day only collected Rs. 20 lakhs were collected. At the same time, Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘King of Kotha’ collected Rs 11.70 crore on its opening day. The film had a great opening, but the second its collection went down abysmally. The film collected 2.6 crores on the second day and 2.25 crores on the third day. In this way the film has collected around 17 crores. Overall, it can be said that Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ and Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailor’ have had 3 big hits so far.
