Team India scored a triple century, got out 6 years ago, now different

New Delhi. Talking about the players who have scored triple centuries for Team India, Virender Sehwag’s name comes first. Only 2 batsmen have managed to score triple centuries in Test cricket from India. Apart from Sehwag, this includes Karun Nair. However, the 31-year-old Nair has been running out of Team India for the past six years. Now he has decided to leave his home team Karnataka as well. Now he will be seen playing for Vidarbha. Apart from playing 6 Tests for Team India, he has also played 2 ODIs.

In his social media post, Karun Nair wrote, I am deeply grateful for the journey I have made with the Karnataka State Cricket Association over the last 2 decades. Right from the start of my cricket career, the association has been a guiding force, supporting me immensely. Due to which I have reached here today. Karun Nair has played 85 first class matches so far. Scored 5922 runs with the help of 15 centuries and 27 half centuries. 328 was the best performance.

Now the new innings begins
Karun Nair wrote that I would like to thank my own coach, captain and teammates, under whose leadership and with whom I had the opportunity to play. I have come this far as a cricketer because of your leadership, guidance, support and faith. He said that now I am going to make a fresh start with the Vidarbha Cricket Association. Here I bring with me the memories and friendships made during my time with the Karnataka Cricket Association. Thank you for being an integral part of my cricket journey. Now I move on to the next exciting phase.

Memorable innings played against England
Karun Nair scored an unbeaten 303 against England in Chennai in December 2016. However, he could not even touch the 30-run mark in the other 6 innings of the Test. Nair scored 374 runs at an average of 62 in 7 innings of 6 Tests. Scored a century. In 2 ODIs he scored 46 runs at an average of 23. 39 was the best performance. He last played an international match in March 2017.

He has been part of Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
