Ghadar 2’s mayhem continues

Sunny Deol and Manish Wadhwa’s action-packed film Ghadar 2 has created a buzz at the box office. This is because the film has surpassed the domestic collection figures of the Hindi version of KGF Chapter 2. Now Ghadar 2 has become the third highest grossing Hindi film in India after Pathan and Baahubali-2. The film earned Rs 426.20 crore in India till its 15th day on Friday, August 25. According to Sacnilk.com’s initial estimates, Gadar 2 will have its collection on Saturday, August 26 at Rs. 12.50 crore added. So far the total earnings of this film have reached Rs 438.70 crore.

Sunny Deol’s film has beaten Yash and Prashant Neel’s KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi). The film collected 434 crore rupees in India. The top two highest grossing Hindi films in India at Rs. Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 are the Hindi versions with a domestic collection of Rs 543 crore. Its local collection is Rs. 510 crores. After this, it is now Ghadar number 2. But given the speed at which Ghadar 2 is breaking box office records, the film has made Rs. Won’t be surprised if it crosses the 500 crore mark and challenges Baahubali 2 (Hindi). The film has a chance till September 7 till Shah Rukh Khan’s Jaawan hits the box office.
Apart from Sunny Deol, the film also stars Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma, who reprise their roles of Sakina and Jeet aka Charanjit Singh from the first part. Manish Wadhwa is the new entrant as he plays the main villain Major General Hamid Iqbal in the sequel.
