GATE 2024: Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has released the information booklet for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023. As per schedule, registration for GATE 2024 will start from 30 August 2023. Candidates who wish to appear in the GATE 2024 exam can apply by visiting the official website gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
This exam will be conducted next year on 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th February 2024. GATE 2024 admit card will be issued on January 3, 2024. The GATE exam will be conducted in two shifts. The exam will be conducted at various exam centers in around 200 cities across the country.
Earlier it was believed that the registration process for GATE 2024 will start from August 24, but the date has been extended and will now start from August 30, 2023. As per the official notification, the last date to apply is 29 September 2023. The extended date of application is fixed as 13 October 2024. The answer key for GATE 2024 will be released on February 21 and the result will be declared on March 16, 2024.
Application Fee:
The application fee for GATE 2024 is Rs 1800. 2300 along with late fee has to be paid. While Rs 900 has been fixed for SC, ST and women candidates, these category candidates will have to pay Rs 1400 along with the late fee.
There will be a total of 30 question papers in GATE 2024. This question paper will be in English language, all questions will be objective type. Some questions will be multiple choice (MCQ), some multiple choice (MSQ) and some numerical. MCQ questions will have only one correct answer out of 4 options. MSQ questions will have more than one correct option. A digital calculator will also be available on the computer screen for numerical questions.
