This statement of Ajit Pawar has made us think once again that how long will he stay in this position? We have worked for the development of the state.” Decision for this. Again in politics there is no permanent enemy and no permanent friend. We want to tell everyone in Maharashtra that even though we are in the Mahayuti alliance, it is our duty to protect people of all castes and religions.” He said, “We will always work for the interests of farmers. There is no agriculture without water in the fields. I did a lot of work when I was in water resources in the state.”
Home Minister Amit Shah had purchased 2 lakh metric tonnes of onions on the request of the state
Ajit Pawar said that he asked state agriculture minister Dhananjay Munde to go to Delhi and meet key central leaders on the onion issue in the state recently. The opposition targeted the Eknath Shinde government
Earlier, Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole termed the central government’s recent decision to increase export duty on onion by 40 per cent as “anti-farmer”. Patole said, “They are lying to our farmers. My question to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Piyush Goyal is why will you increase the export tax? If the onions become stale and the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India does not buy them immediately. , then the farmers are upset, because they will suffer.” He said that the BJP government is anti-farmer. BJP does not care about the people and farmers of our country.
Recently, the central government imposed a 40 per cent export duty on onions, which are used in everyday kitchens, prompting protests by the state’s onion farmers in Maharashtra’s Nashik district on Monday.
