Team India, ready to face Pakistan, will leave for the Asia Cup on 29th

New Delhi. The Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will leave for Sri Lanka on Tuesday (August 29) to participate in the Asia Cup 2023. Team India’s camp is currently underway in Alur. All the players thoroughly enjoyed the break on Sunday. However, in the meantime the players participated in team meeting and DEXA test. All eyes were on KL Rahul who is on the brink of achieving 100 per cent fitness.

KL Rahul recently underwent hamstring surgery, from which he is recovering. And trying to achieve perfect fitness. Of course, the 31-year-old batsman has been practicing wicket-keeping even though he has already been ruled out of the big match against Pakistan. According to the report, the team management and medical team are satisfied with KL Rahul’s improvement.

Shreyas Iyer, on the other hand, has also recovered from injury and is eager to show his bat in the Asia Cup. However, Rahul still has time to regain full fitness before the World Cup. The World Cup is still 3 months away. While announcing the Asia Cup squad, BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar said that KL Rahul will not be able to play in the match against Pakistan due to swallowing.
