Rohit Sharma popularly known as ‘Hitman’ is fond of playing pull shot. He mostly plays this shot successfully. However, Rohit sometimes loses his wicket in the act of hitting pull shots. Team India captain Rohit has made a shocking revelation about his favorite pull shot before entering the Asia Cup 2023. Rohit says he doesn’t particularly practice pull shots during training.
When Rohit was asked during a conversation with PTI how much he practiced the pull shot in the nets with a throwdown specialist, he said, “I don’t do any special training to play that shot. No one knows about the hard work I put in before that. ” Referring to the three support staff members, Rohit said, “Raghu (Raghavendra), Nuwan (Senaviratne) and Daya (Garani) have all come in recent years. And I’ve been playing this shot for a long time.”
Rohit further said, “I worked on this shot during my under-17 and under-19 days. Now I don’t practice this shot especially during training. If I think the ball is short pitched, I play pull. In such a situation bowlers will not bowl short balls only. I tell the bowlers during training to bowl the way they want to bowl.”

The Asia Cup is going to start from August 30. Rohit will begin his campaign in the Brigade tournament on September 2. India’s first match will be against arch-rivals Pakistan. This match will be played in Kandy, Sri Lanka. This time the Asia Cup will be organized in a hybrid model. Four matches of the tournament will be held in Pakistan while 9 matches including the final will be held in Sri Lanka.
