Pakistan was supposed to host the Asia Cup first but India refused to go there and play the match. After this the hybrid model was finalised. Under this, 4 matches of the Asia Cup will be played in Multan and Lahore, while a total of 9 matches including the final will be played in Pallekele and Colombo in Sri Lanka.

Will India play Super-4 match in Pakistan?
No, India will not play any of its matches in Pakistan. Regardless of where India place in the first round, Pakistan will go into the Super-4 round as A1 and India A2, while Sri Lanka B1 and Bangladesh B2 will be in the second group. If the third-placed teams in either group qualify for the Super Four, Nepal or Afghanistan will replace the eliminated teams (Pakistan or India in Group A and Sri Lanka or Bangladesh in Group B). If India qualifies for the Super-4 round, it will play its match in Colombo.
