Know the success secret of Gadar 2 and Pathan from Hema Malini

Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ have been successful at the box office. These films removed the dark shadow over the box office and brought out the revenue and solved the problems of cinema owners to producers. Now Bollywood actress and BJP MP Hema Malini has revealed the secret behind the success of Pathan and Gadar. Hema Malini is also a producer and director. He told PTI that he is happy with the success of Hindi films at the box office. Citing examples of this year’s biggest hits like Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’, Hema Malini said, ‘Audiences want to watch films on the big screen. OTT platforms are preferred as ‘time passes’.

Hema Malini said, ‘Big screen films are very different from what we are used to. I am used to these kind of movies…big screen. So, this OTT and web series is good to pass the time, but I don’t know how unique it is. This is the reason why when ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘Pathan’ and others hit the big screen, they were all hits. People like to watch movies on big screen which is different from small screen.
Hema Malini, a two-time MP from Mathura, has been away from films for a long time. 74-year-old actress Hema Malini told PTI, “I would love to do it (films). If I get some good roles, sure, why not? I want producers to come forward and sign me for films. I am ready. 2003’s Bagbaan Recalling her performance with Amitabh Bachchan in the film, Hema Malini said she wished she had worked with him in more films after ‘Bagbaan’. Hema Malini and Amitabh Bachchan also teamed up in the 1980s in ‘Sattey Pe Satta’, ‘Naseeb’ and ‘Nastik’. Hema Malini said, ‘I wish we would have done many more films together after ‘Baghbaan’ but unfortunately it didn’t happen. Working (with Bachchan) was amazing.
