New Delhi. Competitions between India and Pakistan are rare. Team India is not playing bilateral series with Pakistan team. Matches are played between the two only in ICC and ACC tournaments. The teams of India and Pakistan are scheduled to face each other on September 2 in the Asia Cup. Fans have been waiting for this match for a long time which will now be completed. Well, a match that has been going on for 38 years has to wait.
Asia Cup 2023 has started. Playing at home, the Pakistan team defeated Nepal in a one-sided match in the first match. Pakistan made a huge score of 342 for 6 thanks to Captain Babar Azam’s explosive innings of 151 runs. In response to which the entire team of Nepal was bundled out for 104 runs against Shadab Khan’s deadly bowling. The team started with a big win of 238 runs.
There has been a drought between India and Pakistan for 38 years
So far, not a single match has been played between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup, which sports lovers around the world want to watch. The two have never met in the finals of the tournament since its inception in 1984. India has won the Asia Cup 6 times while Pakistan has won it 2 times but no final since then. India has won the trophy defeating Sri Lanka 4 times and Bangladesh twice. On the other hand, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka once and Bangladesh once in the final.
