New Delhi. The second match of Asia Cup 2023 is being played between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. In this exciting match, the Bangladeshi team could not get off to a good start after winning the toss and batting first. The team has lost its first three big wickets for just 36 runs.

The first blow to Bangladesh came in the form of Tanjeed Hasan at the Pallekele Stadium. Mahesh Tikshana guided Hasan to the pavilion by LBW. After which Bangladesh got another blow in the form of Mohammad Naim. Naeem was caught out by Pathum Nisanka off Dhananjay de Silva.

The Bangladeshi team was yet to recover from these two major setbacks when the team’s experienced batsman Shakib Al Hasan was also out. Hasan, batting at number four, faced a total of 11 balls. Meanwhile, Mathisha fell victim to Pathirana scoring just five runs with the help of a four. Hasan’s brilliant catch off Pathirana was caught behind the wicket by Kusal Mendis.
