On August 23, there was news of the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner military group that rebelled against Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a plane crash. Russia has confirmed this. Prigozhin was buried on Tuesday in the Russian city of St. Petersburg. However, despite all the evidence, there is talk of Prigogine being alive. Surprisingly, such claims are being made from within Russia itself. At the same time, a video of Prigozhin is being shared on social media. The video shows Prigogine in South Africa.

The video clip was shared by a Telegram channel affiliated with the Wagner Military Group. In the clip, Yevgeny Prigozhin can be seen wearing an army uniform and cap. He is wearing a watch on his right hand. This video is shot in a moving vehicle. NDTV cannot confirm the location or date of this video. However, according to a report by news agency Reuters, her clothes match the look shown in the video released on August 21.
Prigozhin says in the video, “Those who are debating whether I’m alive or not… what I’m doing… Today is the weekend. Second half of August 2023. I’m in Africa. For those who follow me, Or interested in knowing about my personal life… how much I earn or whatever they want to discuss… of course they do. It’s all good.”
A video of Prigozhin appeared that was filmed in Africa shortly before his death.

The video was also shared by Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. One user commented, “We’ve been expecting videos of Prigozhin since his death. Especially wanted to know about his personal life and earnings etc. So it’s ok now. 2 meters underground.”
News of Prigozhin’s death came two months after his coup against Putin. On August 23, a Russian private jet en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed in Russia’s Tver region, killing all 10 passengers and crew on board. Prigozhin and several senior members of Wagner were also among the dead.
Russia’s Tass news agency, citing sources, said that according to the wishes of Prigozhin’s family, only his family members and close friends were invited to the funeral.
