ILSA consists of a cluster of 6 highly sensitive accelerometers. This device measures the vibration or motion of the structure. The vibration shown in the graph indicates the phase of the rover’s speed. The movement of the payload on the lander is also recorded. ILSA is the first example of a device based on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems technology on the Moon.

Micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) is a process technology used to create small integrated systems combining mechanical and electrical components.

Earlier on August 31, Isro had released a new video of rover Pragyan, in which it is moving safely and moving well. This photo of the orbit was taken by the imager camera of the lander Vikram.

ISRO wrote – “Rover Pragyan Chanda is playing pranks on Mama. Lander Vikram is looking at him (Pragyan) like a mother lovingly looks at her child while playing. Don’t you think so?”

Meanwhile, Pragya has confirmed the presence of sulfur on the moon for the second time. Rover Pragyan once again confirmed sulfur on the lunar surface on 31 August. Isro said that this time the Alpha Practice X-ray Spectroscope (APXS) mounted on Pragyan has confirmed the presence of sulphur. ISRO also said that they are now trying to find out where the sulfur on the moon came from – interior, volcanic or meteorite?

According to ISRO, manganese, silicon and oxygen are also present on the moon’s surface, while the search for hydrogen is on. The discovery was made by the LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscope) payload mounted on the Pragyan rover.
