Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has been ranked as the top central banker globally by the US-based magazine Global Finance. Das has been rated A+ in the Global Finance Central Banker Report Card 2023. Three central bank governors were rated A+ in the list, with Shaktint Das topping the list. Global Finance magazine said in a statement that the scale ranges from Grade A to Grade F for success in inflation control, economic growth targets, currency stability and interest rate management. A Grade A means that the performance has been excellent, while an F grade means a complete failure.
