Kaithal’s Tiki has been amazing for 35 years, starting at Rs 2

Kairicha Dhiman/Kaithal. There are many places in the city for chaat lovers, but people come from far and wide to taste Brijwasi’s tikki at the city’s main bazaar. The tikki shop was started 35 years ago by Deendayal Sharma from Rajasthan, but now the second generation is running it. Deendayal Sharma has passed away but his three sons have carried on the legacy of their father and are still serving people the same flavor as it was back then. However, Brijwasi’s tikki cost only 2 rupees 35 years ago, but now times have changed, that tikki now costs 30 rupees but the taste remains the same. Brijvasini Tikki has a 35-year-old flavor that makes people come from far and wide to taste it. Every evening people throng the shop to eat tikki. Along with tikki, the taste of golgappa and dahi bhalla here is also unmatched. If you pass by this shop, you won’t be without food.

This is the specialty of their tikki
First the potatoes are boiled and then the chickpeas are boiled and the chickpeas are prepared. After boiling the potatoes, they are ground. Potato tikki is fried in ghee. Mix chopped tomatoes, green coriander and green chillies in green chutney. The tikki is garnished with finely chopped onions and tomatoes. After that curd is added according to curd lovers. Then the sweet chutney made by them is added to the tikki, only then does the tikki taste amazing. Their specialty is that they prepare all the items themselves and do not bring chutneys or chutneys from the market. Their tikkis are slightly crispy and made tastier by adding papadi. This shop is famous for tikki, but their Dahi Bhalla and Golgappa taste amazing too. These items were also started by Deendayal Sharma around 35 years ago but his tikki is special for which Brijvasi is known.
