New Delhi. Under the captaincy of Mitchell Marsh, the Australian cricket team went to South Africa (AUS vs SA) and eliminated the hosts in the T20 series. Marsh’s first series win under his captaincy. He led the team from the front in this tour. Marsh was adjudged the ‘Player of the Series’ for his superb performance. The T20 World Cup is scheduled to be held next year. With that in mind, he was given the reins of Australia’s T20 team, where he grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Australia showed strength ahead of T20 World Cup
Chasing the target, Australia did not get off to a good start. He lost the wicket of opener Matthew Short on the very first ball. Captain Mitchell Marsh then came on to support Travis Head. Both added 43 runs for the second wicket. This partnership was broken up by Jorn Fotre. Marsh returned to the pavilion scoring 15 runs. After losing the captain’s wicket, Hayden got the support of wicketkeeper Jos English. Both took the total to 128. England scored 42 runs in 22 balls which included 1 four and 4 sixes. The rest was done by Head and Marcus Stoinis. Head was dismissed for 91 runs off 48 balls. He hit 8 fours and 6 sixes. Stoinis returned unbeaten scoring 37 runs. For South Africa, Bjorn Foutran and Gerald Coetzee took two wickets each.

Denovan Ferreira hit 5 sixes
Before batting first, South Africa scored 190 runs for 8 with the help of Denovan Ferreira’s 48 runs and Riza Hendricks’ 42 runs. Captain Aidan Markram was dismissed with 41 runs while wicketkeeper Tristian Stubbs contributed 25 runs. Fast bowler Shaun Abbott took the most 4 wickets from Australia. Stoinis got 2 wickets in his account.
