Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission Chairman KS Dwivedi said that the recruitment process for a total of 64 posts of Sub Inspector (Inspector) Prohibition and Sub-Divisional Fire Station Officer will be completed by October. The Joint Main Written Examination for these posts was held on Sunday at the local TPS College campus. A total of 13 rooms were arranged for the candidates to take the exam. All the rooms were monitored online through video recording from the Commission headquarters. A total of 1280 candidates appeared in the main examination. This will be followed by a physical examination. Six times the total number of seats will be selected for physical test. Final selection will be done through physical test. Mr. Dwivedi gave this information in a press conference held at the commission office on Sunday.
Dwivedi said applications were invited under advertisement number 01/2023 in March for the appointment of these posts. A total of 66,398 candidates applied for 64 posts. The preliminary examination for these posts was held on 16th July. Candidates 20 times the total number of posts in the preliminary examination were declared successful for the main written examination.

Bihar Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) has released this list of candidates. A written test will be conducted first in this recruitment. Only those who qualify the written exam will be called for the next stage physical test. Merit list for selection will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in physical test. There will be no interviews. Youths from other states can also apply in this recruitment, though they will not get the benefit of reservation.
