‘Bharat’ alliance said: Govt should announce agenda of special session of Parliament

Sources say that Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi will write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the next session. This bill has been passed by the Rajya Sabha. The opposition forces have also decided that their next meeting will be held in Bhopal and the first public meeting will also be held in Madhya Pradesh. Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh are proposed later this year.

Apart from Kharge and other Congress leaders, DMK leader TR Balu, Nationalist Congress Party leader Supriya Sule, Trinamool Congress’s Derek O’Brien, Janata Dal (United)’s Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Aam Aadmi Party’s Sanjay Singh, etc. were present in the meeting. Leaders of Shiv Sena (UBT) K Sanjay Raut, Samajwadi Party ST Hassan and several other parties were involved. BJP wants to sideline major issues like inflation, unemployment, Manipur, China, CAG report, scams and weakness of institutions etc. and deceive our people. The Congress president said that the constituent parties of ‘Bharat’ discussed the way forward for the special session.

Gogoi said, ‘The unity of the India alliance will remain intact or cross.’ Congress Deputy Leader in Rajya Sabha Pramod Tiwari said, ‘Have you seen such an absurd government which called a special session of Parliament without talking to the opposition? I want to know the topic of this special session. Why was this special session called?

He said, ‘We have not yet decided whether we will sit in the old building of Parliament or in the new building. No one knows what the agenda of this meeting will be when the MPs sit. Tiwari said, ‘It is our right to know what is the agenda of the special session of Parliament. If we are not told the agenda, we will tell our agenda. He also said that the opposition coalition will keep the agenda in front of everyone through the media.
