Adani Total Gas gets order for 500 tonne per day bio-CNG plant in Ahmedabad

Adani Total Gas Ltd. News: Adani Total Gas Limited, a joint venture between billionaire Gautam Adani’s group and French energy company TotalEnergiesAdani Total Gas Ltd.) has received a work order from a local urban body for a 500 tonne per day bio-CNG plant in Ahmedabad. The company said in an exchange filing on Wednesday that the work order received from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is to design, build, finance and operate the plant on a public-private partnership model.

The Bio-CNG plant will be set up at Pirana/Gyaspur, Ahmedabad for a concession period of 20 years.

Adani Total Gas, in its latest annual report, has said that over the next 8 to 10 years, to expand infrastructure for retailing of CNG and piped gas to automobiles to households and industries, Rs. 18,000 crore to Rs. 20,000 crore investment has been announced.

The company sells CNG for automobiles and piped gas for domestic cooking in 52 licenses covering 124 districts of the country.

It has 460 CNG stations and about 7 lakh customers of piped cooking gas in the country.

It wants to expand its network of CNG stations as well as the pipeline network that carries the gas to households, kitchens and industries to meet the growing demand in the country for the clean fuel. Shares of Adani Total Gas rose 1.57% to Rs. closed at 643.35.
