Considering the huge demand for tickets for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 matches, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will issue approximately four lakh tickets for this much-awaited tournament. However, the press release issued by the BCCI did not specify what percentage of these four lakh tickets would be for Indian matches. This step is being taken to make tickets accessible to more and more fans.
“Cricket lovers across the world can now secure their seats for the biggest cricket tournament of the year,” the release said. According to this, “Tickets for all matches will be sold from 8 PM IST on September 8, 2023. “The sale will begin. Fans can purchase tickets by visiting the official website https://tickets.cricketworldcup.com. “Fans will be informed about the next phase of ticket sales in due course.”
The World Cup will start from October 5 and the final will be played on November 19. India is hosting the entire World Cup single-handedly for the first time. The World Cup will once again be held in a round robin format, with all 10 teams competing against each other. Each team has to play 9 league matches. The Indian team will begin their campaign in the tournament on October 8. Meanwhile, India will face arch-rivals Pakistan on October 14.
