US President Joe Biden is among the 19 heads of state coming to Delhi for the G-20 summit to be chaired by India. Biden will arrive in New Delhi on Thursday (September 7) to attend the summit on September 9 and 10. Apart from this historic meeting, he will also hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 8.
During his visit to India, the US President will have his own security system, which includes the world’s most expensive cars, high-tech weapons, bomb detectors, a control room and a parallel communication system. In addition to Air Force One and helicopters for air travel, President Biden will also have the world’s safest beast, in which he will travel the streets of Delhi.
Features of The Beast
This armored limousine includes military-grade armor, bullet-proof windows (apparently), and tear gas dispensers. The vehicle’s armor is made of aluminium, ceramic and steel and is capable of protecting passengers even in the event of chemical warfare. It also has its own oxygen supply in case of chemical or biological attack.
The front doors are 5 inches thick and the rear doors are 8 inches thick. It consists of five layers of glass and polycarbonate, which enables it to withstand bomb blasts. Some of the modern facilities include a tear gas dispenser, shotgun, smoke screen, two bags of blood matched to the President’s blood group, a communication device, GPS and night vision.

Despite being a limousine, The Beast only seats seven people. Along with this, it is equipped with many features, which are not present in other cars. Its weight is more than 900 kg. Its latest model came in 2018. It was manufactured in the US by General Motors (GM) and cost around $1.5 million i.e. Rs. More than 12 crores.

These officers will be equipped with long range and short range weapons including pistol, M4, Glock and bullet proof sheets to protect the American President from any attack. The US has proposed to bring 75-80 of its vehicles during the G20 summit.
