Not only this, the film was earlier titled ‘The Great Indian Rescue’, but now it has become ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Bacha’.
Who was Jaswant Gill?
Let us tell you that in this film, Akshay Kumar is playing the role of Jaswant Singh Gill, who rescued 64 laborers from a flooded mine in West Bengal in 1989. Jaswant Singh Gill, a resident of Amritsar, received several awards for his bravery in 1989. He saved 64 lives from a flooded mine in Raniganj area of West Bengal. Gill died in 2019 at the age of 80.
