Women suffering from rare diseases: A 33-year-old woman in New Zealand has died of a rare disease. Doctors said the woman was suffering from a rare disease called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. However, a woman named Stephanie Aston had earlier told doctors that she was suffering from EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome). But, he accused the woman of pretending to be a liar. Doctors also described the woman as mentally ill.
She became a victim at the age of 15
An Australian news agency revealed that Stephanie died at her home on September 1. Stephanie was diagnosed with this genetic disease in 2015 at the age of 15. At the same time, doctors alleged that he was suffering from mental illness. After this he was placed under the supervision of a psychiatrist. Stephanie had to undergo a rectal examination because she was accused of self-harm. Apart from this, he was also accused of faking fainting spells, fever and cough.
A shock to the EDS community
Despite an EDS diagnosis by three specialist doctors, Stephanie died. A funder of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome in New Zealand said nothing had changed yet, but Stephanie’s death shocked them.
