Coach Uttam Majumdar said that once he considered Ishaan playing a match with the under-14 team. Ishaan was 7 years old then. Ishan came to open in that match and hit some good shots. While he was batting on 14, a bouncer hit his helmet. After this, blood started flowing from Ishaan’s nose. Ishaan was rushed by bike to the hospital where he received stitches. Ishan Kishan has been selected in the ODI World Cup squad. He is currently playing in the Asia Cup.

The coach said that after first aid he came to the field and Ishaan was with his father. After a while there was a sound from behind and Ishaan was standing wearing a cushion pad and trying to put on a helmet. The coach was shocked to see all this.
