Khesari Lal Yadav, considered a superstar of the Bhojpuri film industry, has received a big blow from the Delhi High Court. Regarding the agreement with the company named ‘Global Music Junction’, the High Court said that Khesari Lal Yadav cannot sing for any company other than the company named ‘Global Music Junction’ for two years.
In fact, a case came before the Delhi High Court in the past. There was a dispute between Khesari Lal Yadav and Global Music Company in this matter. The High Court has ruled against Khesari Lal Yadav on this dispute. Now Khesari Lal Yadav can sing songs for only one music company for 2 years, cannot sing for any other music company. After this decision it is clear that Khesari Lal Yadav will not sing for any other company till 30 September 2025. He has to sing only for ‘Global Music Junction’.
According to media reports, an agreement was signed between Khesari Lal Yadav and ‘Global Music Junction’ company on May 27, 2021. Under this contract, Khesari Lal Yadav was to sing 200 songs in 30 months for Global Music Junction Company. In return for these 200 songs, Khesari was to receive Rs 5 crore from the music company. Singer Khesari sang only 89 songs with the company in these 30 months and felt that his contract with the company was over after the completion of 30 months and started singing for other companies as well. Following this, Global Music Company filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against Khesari alleging breach of contract. While hearing the matter, Justice Saurabh Banerjee and Justice Manmohan ruled against Khesari and banned him from singing for other companies.
What did Khesari say?
Bhojpuri superstar Khesari Lal Yadav has accused Global Music Junction of conspiring in this matter. Accusing the company, Khesari said that he could not understand the contract properly as he did not know English. He said that the concerned company had hatched a conspiracy against him.
