New Delhi:
Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher’s latest sports drama Ghoomar, directed by R Balki, opened to positive reviews from critics. But sadly, the film didn’t manage to take off well. Seknilk has claimed in his report that Ghumar collected only Rs 85 lakh on Friday i.e. August 18. Clearly, last week’s super solid box office business of Ghadar 2 and OMG 2 has dented Ghoomar’s business in particular.

Abhishek’s last theatrical release before Ghoomar was Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan (2018). According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Manmarziyaan collected Rs 3.52 crore on the first day. Ghoomar opened less than Abhishek’s debut film Refugee. According to a media portal, the 2001 film collected Rs 1.56 crore on its first day.
Aaradhya said what will be the climax scene?
The climax scene of Ghoomar, where Abhishek Bachchan does the Vijay dance…this was Aaradhya Bachchan’s idea. Talking about it, R. Balki said in an interview to Bollywood Spy, “It was a beautiful moment for me in our film. I’m glad we got it right and obviously thanks to the people who put the thought and thought behind it.”
He further added, “Aabhishek was talking to Aaradhya and telling her, ‘This is the end of the film’, when Aaradhya said, ‘Aap last mein poho ghoomar karte hum kyun nate hai?’ He discussed the idea with Balki and everyone loved it. Abhishek said, ‘It was Aaradhya’s first idea. It takes a lot of depth and love for a child to understand this and I really thank her for that.’
