Sunny Deol is creating history at the box office with his latest action film Ghadar 2. Now the audience is more and more eager to see their favorite star. The makers of Border have now planned to bring a sequel to their blockbuster war drama Border 2 with them. Yes…Gadar-2 and the craze that Sunny Deol created prompted director-producer JP Dutta and his daughter Nidhi Dutta to come up with a sequel to the 26-year-old blockbuster.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the story of Border 2 has been in the works for the past few years and the makers are currently in talks with a major studio for the project. The portal quoted a source as saying, “Border is one of the most historic blockbusters of Indian cinema and deserves a sequel. The team has been discussing making a sequel to Border for the last 2 to 3 years and now everything is finally in order. As the team will soon release Border 2 is all set to be officially announced and they are gearing up to bring it to the big screen.
The highest-grossing blockbuster of 1997 starred Sunil Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshay Khanna, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry and others alongside Sunny. The makers of Border 2 are planning to retain Sunny from the prequel. The source told the portal that “Being a heavy-action film, the team will cast young generation actors instead of bringing together the entire Border team. Sunny Deol might be the only Border actor in the film.” Right now it’s all in the early stages and the official announcement of the film will be made soon.”
