ISRO said Aditya-L1 will be placed in a halo orbit around the Lagrangian point 1 (L1) 1.5 million km from Earth in the direction of the Sun. The satellite and payload will orbit the Sun in the same relative position and view the Sun continuously without any eclipse. This will help in real-time observation of solar activities and their impact on space weather.
