After this film became a blockbuster, Prakash Mehra wanted to do another film with Amitabh. But this film needed another actor along with Amitabh. He approached a superstar, but he categorically refused to do the film. Then when Prakash approached another rising star with the story, he put two conditions, which the director had to accept and again the producers got rich.
