Ayush Tiwari/Kanpur: The names of the teams and players for the first-ever UP T-20 League in Uttar Pradesh have been finalised. The team from Kanpur will be known as Kanpur Super Stars. The team’s franchise V Corp Flavors Pvt Ltd has bought IPL medium pacer Ankit Rajput and Lucknow batsman Akshdeep Nath at a base price of Rs 10 lakh each.
Kanpur’s Adarsh Singh is also among the 20 players bought. Three lakh rupees have been taken from him. Only two players from the city have been placed in the Kanpur Super Stars squad, while three players from here have been placed by other teams. Kanpur Team V Corp Flavors Pvt Ltd bought it for 7 crore 20 lakhs. The team has to select players from 71 lakhs and support staff from 29 lakhs within one crore.

Four pools were created and the players were auctioned in the presence of BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla.
