Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday said that reservation should continue as long as there is discrimination in society. Addressing a program here, he said that discrimination may not be visible but it is prevalent in the society.

“We have left our brothers behind in the social order,” he said. We did not take care of them and this went on for 2000 years. As long as we give them equality. Till then there should be some special treatment and reservation is one of them. Therefore reservation should continue as long as such discrimination continues. We the members of the Union fully support the reservation given in the Constitution.
Sarsanghchalak said that this is not only to ensure financial or political equality but also to give respect. He said that if some sections of the society who faced discrimination faced problems for 2000 years, then why can’t we (those who did not face discrimination) face some problems for another 200 years?
