New Delhi. Pakistan captain Babar Azam does not want to create any controversy over the ‘hybrid model’ of hosting the Asia Cup but feels that it would be better if all the matches of the prestigious tournament were held in his country.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has the hosting rights for the Asia Cup but the Jai Shah-led Asian Cricket Council opted for a hybrid model with Sri Lanka hosting some of the matches. It also includes the match between India and Pakistan.

“If you ask me, it would have been better if the entire tournament was organized by Pakistan but unfortunately nothing can be done about it,” Babar told reporters on the eve of the opening match against Nepal.

He said, “As professionals, we are ready for whatever program is given to us. It also involves traveling and playing constant matches and we are ready for that.
