New Delhi, Team India for Asia Cup 2023 has been announced. BCCI organized a press conference in Delhi on Monday. In which Rohit Sharma, Ajit Agarkar participated. He talked about the World Cup and Asia Cup plans. He also explained why Chahal and Dhawan didn’t get a chance in the Asia Cup. Both these players are not part of the Asia Cup squad.
Ajit Agarkar said in a press conference, ‘We are feeling very good after announcing the Asia Cup squad. We have been struggling with injuries for the past few days. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul were injured, but now they are back. We have also sought his report from the physio. These two are our best players. We have 17 players. We hope that we will definitely do well in the Asia Cup. Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan and Shikhar Dhawan have performed exceptionally well for India, but unfortunately it is not possible to include all of them in the squad.
Rohit Sharma said on Hardik Pandya’s question, ‘Hardik Pandya is a great player. He knows what he has to do. It has been great working with him. Feeding the fourth player doesn’t matter. The whole team gives you victory. The opening three players help the team’s batting a lot. We couldn’t take Chahal in the team because we have a limit of inclusion of players. We definitely want to see him in the World Cup. Rishabh Pant is not ready for the Asia Cup. They may take a little longer.
