The third match of Asia Cup 2023 will be played between India and Pakistan on September 2. The match will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka from 3 PM onwards. Hayden believes that the Indian batsmen will have to adopt a different strategy to deal with Pakistan’s pace battery. On Star Sports’ Game Plan show, Hayden said, ‘India will have to play against Pakistan’s dangerous pace trio. I can tell you this is the deadliest competition on earth. We have Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf. These three bowlers are very different types, which will require a completely different strategy from India. Talking about the condition of the wicket, there can be bounces from the wicket, so you have to think about that. Indian batsmen in particular have to be wary of Haris Rauf.

Hayden continued, ‘He can target the off-stump with fast bowling. You have to play carefully against Shaheen too. Talking about the back to back World Cup, Shaheen Afridi is giving the start. We will never forget the ball on which he dismissed captain Rohit Sharma, so will have to be careful against him as well. However I think India will win this match as they have classic batsmen in their batting line up and I think they are in form as well.
