However, both the South stars seemed comfortable with each other on screen. But viewers did not like their chemistry.

Made for 101 crores, Bholashankar cost the producers crores and led to Chiranjeevi taking a huge amount for acting, but it flopped badly at the box office. The film could not even earn 30 crores and neither his pairing with Tamannaah was liked nor his action was appreciated by the public.

Earlier, Chiranjeevi was seen in Godfather with 38-year-old Nayanthara, who was 25 years his junior, and that too turned out to be a disaster. The film was made at a cost of Rs 100 crore and earned only Rs 108 crore.

Tamannaah Bhatia was also the lead heroine in the actor’s Sai Raa Narasimha and earned Rs. It was made at a cost of 200-300 crores. The film earned only Rs 240 crores and that too was a huge disaster. This clearly shows that people did not like the pairing of the actor with the younger actress.

However, Shruti Haasan was 32 years younger in Chiranjeevi’s Voltaire Veeraiya, which released this year and the film proved to be a superhit. The film loved the chemistry of both the Telugu stars and it grew tremendously. This film made in 140 crores collected 115 rupees.

Chiranjeevi’s Acharya was released in April and caused a loss of crores to the makers. The film was a disaster and he was seen with his son Ram Charan in it, but the father-son duo was also not liked by the public.
