After the second ODI played between Pakistan vs Afghanistan in Hambantota, a video went viral on social media in which captain Babar Azam was seen fuming with anger. There were many reports in cricket circles that Babar was upset with the umpire’s decision to not award a no-ball except for manhandling the Afghanistan players. But now another report has surfaced which revealed that Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq were abused by the Afghanistan players after the match, which left the Pakistani captain visibly angry. At the same time, the report also said that Shaheen Afridi was so upset with the manhandling by the Afghanistan players that he even refused to shake hands with the players of the opposing team after the match.
As reported by Samaa.tv, Afghanistan could not digest the defeat at the hands of Pakistan in the second ODI, after the match, Afghanistan bowler Farid Ahmed insulted Babar Azam and Imamul Haq and also used abusive language. Meanwhile Farid Ahmed did not even shake hands with Babur and Imam. Babar Azam and Imamul Haque did not react to Fareed Ahmed’s misconduct. Afghani all-rounders Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi apologized for the behavior of Babar Azam and Imamul Haq Farid Ahmed. Rashid Khan got angry with Farid Ahmed and asked him to leave.
The report further states that the team management strongly objected to Fareed Ahmed’s rudeness and inappropriate words towards captain Babar Azam and Imamul Haq. The team management reported Fareed Ahmed’s misbehavior to the match referee. The Afghanistan coach also apologized to Babar Azam and Imamul Haque.
