New Delhi. Bharti Singh is one of the most successful comedians on TV. She has been entertaining audiences through comedy for years. On the strength of his talent, he has created a distinct identity on TV as well as in films. But for some time now this star comedian is not getting the fee according to his talent. During a recent interview, he shared his grief over receiving low fees. The ‘Laughter Queen’ says she now gets half the fee as before.
According to a report by entertainment portal Pinkvilla, Bharti Singh says, “The budget of our show took a huge hit during the Corona period. This happened in every business and industry, but no artist wants to be paid half as much as his talent. Earlier, I was not even getting 25 percent of the fee I used to charge for the show.
She goes on to say that if someone pays her half the fee, she won’t be able to work. She continued, “If you ask me to give 26 days a month for a show and I don’t get a good fee for it, I will also withdraw my hands. Because I will leave my little one at home alone for 12-12 hours. So I just need payment for my work.
Pain overwhelmed Fee
Star comedian Bharti Singh further says, “I never say that earlier I was taking one lakh, but now I am taking fifty thousand so I will be half joking. When I go on stage I don’t even remember how much I got paid for this show and how much I have to perform.”
Bharti Singh has been a part of many reality shows and many popular comedy shows. She has also appeared in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
