The problems of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is imprisoned in Pakistan, may increase. Imran Khan was questioned by anti-terrorism officials of the Federal Investigation Agency on Saturday in Attock jail under the Official Secrets Act in connection with the secret information leak case. According to sources, during interrogation, Imran Khan admitted to the loss of confidential diplomatic information (cipher). Seventy-year-old Khan is currently serving a three-year jail term after being convicted by a court in a corruption case earlier this month.

The ECP first disqualified Khan and then filed a case in the Sessions Court for criminal prosecution. The court convicted Khan and sent him to jail. Khan is currently in Attock jail, where he has been detained since his conviction. Khan has been disqualified for five years. According to some reports, during his three-and-a-half-year tenure, Khan received Rs. Received 58 gifts worth over 14.0 crores and kept all of them with little or no payment.

In the case, Imran is accused of deliberately concealing the details of gifts received from Toshakhana and income from its sale during his tenure as Prime Minister from 2018 to 2022. The Toshakhana is a government collection department, which houses gifts received by foreign governments to Pakistani officials.
