Kailash Kher recently said in an interview given to Bollywood Thikana, ‘In 2003, he was not given credit for singing in Aziz Mirza’s film ‘Chalete Chalate’. Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji were in lead roles in this film. I was very happy when I got a call to sing for this film. I was called to sing a song written by Javed Akhtar in Aziz Mirza’s film. I thought there must be something special about such a big director calling me to sing.

Kailash Kher further said, ‘I went there and sang the song, which required a lot of effort. The song was also very upbeat. I came back and told my sister that I had sung a song for Shah Rukh Khan’s film, but when the first audio CD of the film was released, my name was not on it. There was another singer in my place. I was shocked at first. At that moment I realized that even big men do small things. He found a song sung by another singer.
